RE: Visit BoothieBarn.com
That "animated" photo of L. C. Baker, Luther B.Baker and Everett Conger is actually a "contrived" one. L. C. Baker was in New York when Stanton sent a telegraph requesting his assistance in finding Booth. L. C. Baker sent a telegram back advising to assign his cousin Luther B. Baker and Everett Conger to head a troop to go to Port Royal where he thought Booth was. The 16th New York was assigned to go with Luther B. Baker and Everett Conger. This famous photo was actually taken well after Booth, and Herold, were captured.
