Professor Tonry on Ladies' Toiletries

Professor William P. Tonry, Anna Surratt's husband, delivered a lecture in 1875 on the chemical makeup of women's toiletries. I wonder if he used the contents of Anna's dressing table? If he did, I hope she left off using the items in question after hearing what went into these concoctions!
