Once again, it's a miracle that Fred did not die of his injuries. I am almost speechless with horror reading Dr. Verdi's description. I am curious...did Fred suffer any short term memory loss from that night? Did he remember any of it? He was not well enough to testify at the conspiracy trial, and I don't recall reading any statement he made about his near fatal encounter with Paine on the staircase that night.
