Thank you all (or if you are from the South, "all y'all") for your kind comments about the article in The Courier. In doing research, I kept running into relatives of F.S. Key and given the attention the 200th anniversary has received, I thought folks might be interested in his links to those around Lincoln. Those were just the ones I had found. There are likely others that are known or that have yet to be uncovered in the scavenger hunt of research. It may become a running tally of historical "degrees of separation."
It is also quite an honor for me to be mentioned in the same sentence with Laurie, as I have come to recognize all that she has done to foster and support research in this area. And with regard to "Birginia," I happen to like names that begin with "B." Bill Binzel |
