Elizabeth Trindal believes the friend was Elizabeth Queen, based on a recollection by Queen's granddaughter in the Hall Research Library, but I vote for Nora Fitzpatrick myself, who remained close enough to the Surratt family to be one of the few invited to Mrs. Surratt's reburial. |
