Luther Baker - Boston Corbett - Abe Lincoln
I have a photocopy of the text that Luther Baker used when he was on his lecture tour. It was produced in 1886. Luther claims in it that at one point near the end of the Civil War Boston Corbett was court martialed for deserting his post. His commander petitioned Abraham Lincoln to give Corbett a pardon and Lincoln did. I've never heard this claim before. Have any of you?
