I certainly agree -- this is more than correct. The past was a different world - their world; and I think historians and others should respect that thought. Like Laurie said - we need to weigh the evidence and take it into consideration. One can't put 20th and 21st Century words, deeds and thoughts into the minds of 19th Century Victorian people.
