RE: Books on William McKinley and James A. Garfield
Rick,
The most recent book on Garfield is Candice Millard's Destiny of the Republic while an older book is Kenneth Ackerman's Dark Horse. As for McKinley, Scott Miller wrote The President and the Assassin but I have a soft spot for Margaret Leech's In The Days of McKinley which is available free online. https://archive.org/details/inthedayofmckinl000314mbp Best Rob Abraham Lincoln is the only man, dead or alive, with whom I could have spent five years without one hour of boredom. --Ida M. I want the respect of intelligent men, but I will choose for myself the intelligent. --Carl Sandburg
