I received a letter today from Arthur Bloom, a retired dean of theater arts who spoke a few years ago at a Surratt conference, that his book on Edwin Booth: A Biography and Performance History was released in July. You can check out some excerpts from it on Amazon.com. Take a deep breath before you look at the price tag. Even on Amazon, it is expensive.
