For whatever reason, Seward couldn't have believed he was in danger because he had no guards. Or else he had lived with threats for so long that he became immune to them.
After Powell has coffee with Betty, maybe he'll answer a couple of my questions. I’ve read that you expressed regret for hurting Fred Seward. Did you ever feel sorry for attacking William Seward? I Did you go to your death believing that trying to assassinate Seward was right even though you felt about bad about hurting the innocent people who got in the way? Did you and Booth meet with a Seward chambermaid to gain information about Secretary Seward? What was her name? If it was Margaret Coleman, did you see her or injure her during the attack? |
