Dr. Leale in the Paper
So I was looking through some newspapers from April 15, 1865, I noticed that when mentioning the people present at Lincoln's deathbed, none of the doctors, including Leale were mentioned, though it was Leale that held Lincoln's hand while he was dying. Interesting information, tell me what you think of why the Evening Star did not post it correctly?
Also, if anyone knows how to get a transcript of Booth's "Crisis Secession" Speech, let me know! Here is the link to the Leale information: http://chroniclingamerica.loc.gov/lccn/s...creen=true |
