Good morning, Rich. Are you referring to the statement by the museum? Personally, I think this is a somewhat subjective topic, and others may disagree with me. But my opinion is that Frederick Douglass had mixed feelings toward Lincoln. He expressed thankfulness, but still had some reservations toward him. I think his feelings toward Lincoln were complex and possibly even conflicting at various times in his later life. I think Lincoln did not move as fast or as forcefully as Douglass had wished (IMO).
