Happy Halloween
I decided to follow in the footsteps of the highly talented Dave Taylor and make my OWN Boothie Pumpkin....mine is Lewis Powell oriented, of course - I'm going to be making another shortly -

VERY Easy to make....and took less than a half hour!

Thanks, Dave for this wonderful idea!

Looks great, Betty. It's so much easier and cleaner to carve these craft pumpkins instead of real ones. They last from year to year, too. I look forward to seeing more of your creations.

In the first picture Lew is looking at Lincoln. What's he thinking?

RE: Happy Halloween
I don't know what Lew's thinking! Big Grin

The brown paper package is the "medicine from Dr. Verdi" prop which the actor , Titus Welliver, who played Lew Powell in The Day Lincoln was Shot gave me. I was the historical consult for him back when the movie was shot in 1997. He also gave me his autographed script, his hat, coat AND Repro Whitney Revolver....

Hubbbaaaaaaa!!!!

Ooohhhh - yes!! OMG did I ever have a crush on that guy! HA!

Shameful at my age!! Blush

He was one of the nicest, most down to earth and likeable persons I've ever met. He hung out with the crew and extras more than with the other actors. The guy who played Davey was the very same - really sweet person.

We tried to convince Rob Morrow to ditch the "shades" (a 20th century affection with actors!) but he wouldn't do it! He was NOT a nice person - rather full of himself....the other actors seemed to avoid him!

RE: Happy Halloween
I remember the reaction that many of us had when "Booth" appeared on screen with those sunglasses. Many of us said, "What's wrong with his eyes?" Sunglasses were around then, but they were mainly used for people with serious problems related to sunlight. Many wounded CW soldiers needed sunglasses, but it was highly unusual to see a normal, sighted person wearing a pair.

RE: Happy Halloween
Wait, Rob Lowe was in that movie? I thought Booth was played by the same actor who was on the TV Show NUMB3RS.

RE: Happy Halloween
Hey, Dave!

I'm sorry -- My Bad! Rob Morrow played JWB in that movie - I don't know what the TV Show NUMB3RS is -- I don't watch much TV other than news and the occasional history special.... My brain is getting old and fried! Blush

Morrow was JWB and Titus Welliver was Lew Powell...I forget who the actor was who played Herold, but he was a really nice guy and hung out with Titus and us a lot as did Wil Wheaton who was Robert Lincoln - he was a really nice guy, too....

RE: Happy Halloween
I had to look it up because it was driving me crazy. Rob Morrow played Booth not Rob Lowe. Rob Morrow is better known for his tv show NUMB3RS.

RE: Happy Halloween
Rob Morrow was recently on a two-parter of CSI: NY. Really scruffy character and a very creepy arsonist.

RE: Happy Halloween
For years we watched NUMB3RS regularly. Good show. Laurie, I think this is the Rob Morrow character from CSI: NY.
