RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia
This one should be fairly easy.
Whose memoirs did Tarbell ghostwrite? Best Rob Abraham Lincoln is the only man, dead or alive, with whom I could have spent five years without one hour of boredom. --Ida M. Tarbell
I want the respect of intelligent men, but I will choose for myself the intelligent. --Carl Sandburg

RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia
This trivia question will require research in Tarbell's papers for the answer.
From 1916 to 1923, Tarbell was contracted with various lyceum groups to give talks around the country. Most of her talks centered around labor relations and World War I, although she did offer talks about Lincoln. There were at least two different lectures she presented. Name their titles. There will be no clues. Best Rob Abraham Lincoln is the only man, dead or alive, with whom I could have spent five years without one hour of boredom. --Ida M. Tarbell

Quote:Does that include tips? I guess that would depend on the tip. I can tell you the answer will not be found in her Lincoln-related correspondence. Best Rob Abraham Lincoln is the only man, dead or alive, with whom I could have spent five years without one hour of boredom. --Ida M. Tarbell

RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia
Sorry Roger, no.
I will say that Lincoln was in the title of both (OK, maybe one clue). Best Rob Abraham Lincoln is the only man, dead or alive, with whom I could have spent five years without one hour of boredom. --Ida M. Tarbell

RE: Tough Tarbell Trivia
Well, I guess I'm going to have to break down and give another clue. If you look at Tarbell's papers by subject, go to the Affiliated Lyceum Bureau. The answer, while still hard to find, will be there.
