Today-I gave a talk on"Day by Day" at the Central YMCA-Rochester,NY.A man came up to me and told me that his grandmother met Lincoln in 1864 in Scranton,PA.Lincoln said to her-"Do not worry little girl I will not hurt you".Hey,you never know!

Herb, That's an interesting little tidbit! There are probably countless possible Lincoln encounters that have been passed on through the generations. It would make a good read if someone would publish a book of them.
