“Mrs. Julia Grant hosts Mary Surratt for Tea.”
"The discussion will center on the theory of what might have happened if the Grants had attended the play at Ford’s Theatre the night President Lincoln was assassinated. Further discussion will center on Mary Surratt and her “true involvement” with John Wilkes Booth and the Lincoln assassination."

Sounds interesting - especially what their take will be on Mary Surratt's "true involvement" with JWB.
Mary Surratt and Julia Grant have a common heritage; both ladies have roots in Maryland. Mary's Jenkins family dates back to the 1600s in the State, and Julia's early Dent ancestors were in Charles County, Maryland, until the westward migration began. The Booth route passes near one of their homes. |
