Dr Samuel Mudd at Red Lobster
Dr Mudd is perhaps the last character in the assassination drama who can still get people charged up.
I was at Red Lobster for lunch today with a friend of mine and the subject came up (don't ask me how) and I ended up being treated to a 30 minute lecture on Dr. Mudd's imcomparable morals and ethics as a doctor and as a paragon of a family man. I couldn't supress a smirk as my friend took to punctuating his points by waving a garlic biscuit in my direction. Towards the tail-end of the argument the portly gentleman in the booth next to ours asked the waiter to be reseated away from us and closer to the exit. |

OMG!! Thanks for a good laugh, smbovard!
I can imagine the scene....was this person a Mudd descendant? Just curious. I sometimes get riled up about Lew Powell, but I don't think I've ever waved a garlic biscuit at anyone! Good thing he wasn't waving a Lobster Tail around! "The Past is a foreign country...they do things differently there" - L. P. Hartley |

RE: Dr Samuel Mudd at Red Lobster
My friend is actually very well read on the assassination ---the only book he refuses to read though is the Steers book on Mudd.

Well, I guess your opinionated friend won't join the ranks of us who were booted out of the Mudd House for one reason or another . . .

RE: Dr Samuel Mudd at Red Lobster
Can you give us a hint as to what state this Red Lobster was in (or where your friend resides)? You better not insist that he read His Name Is Still Mudd. He will probably hit you with an Alaskan crab claw!

RE: Dr Samuel Mudd at Red Lobster
For those of you who would like to enjoy those savory biscuits without the stirring conversation, here is the recipe....

Thanks Jim. I was tempted to say: "Here's mud in your eye!"

RE: Dr Samuel Mudd at Red Lobster
Went to Red Lobster with my wife yesterday. No mud pie offered. They do serve a chocolate pie-not that we had any!
