RE: Booth diary - best birthday ever
Surratt House received its Booth's diary replica today, and it is wonderful. I'm now in the process of figuring out a new exhibit case in which to display it and the CDVs of Booth's "groupies." Thank you, Dave Taylor and Pasquale, for making these available to the public.

RE: Booth diary - best birthday ever
I looked on eBay to see whether the type of diary Booth used, with the leather cover, was commonly sold there. I saw some that were similar.
One, in particular, covering six months in 1864, discussed crossing the Rappahannock River and the town of Port Royal. Here's the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-Authentic-1...3380e6a5c9 Note the asking/buy-it-now price: $1,500!!! --Jim Please visit my blog: http://jimsworldandwelcometoit.com/ |
