RE: Bad History Book Poll
O'Reilly's Killing Lincoln has sold big. Comments to me from readers who had no interest in Lincoln at all have been positive. Maybe they will continue reading other Lincoln books now. I notice Ford's Museum is not selling the book but the gift shop is.

RE: Bad History Book Poll
I took it upon myself to e-mail Dugard and ask him,"Are you willing to stand by your Historical Reasearch for the book,"The Killing of Lincoln"?"As there are Historians that do not agree with your research".I got the Best non-answer in my life!Dugard replied,"There are critics everywhere".

Herb: I'm kind of surprised he answered you at all. From what I've read he has taken a lot of heat about the book.

RE: Bad History Book Poll
It seems the assassinations of our presidents has become very popular. What's next: Killing Garfield?
[/quote] There is an excellent book out now about Garfield's assassination. It is called 'Destiny Of The Republic', by Candace Millard The book tells in great detail of Garfields shooting, and how the botched medical care he recieved led to his unnecessary death. Trust me, a must read! |

I'll look for it. I went to his tomb last year in Cleveland-most impressive!

RE: Bad History Book Poll
I've heard that as far as the wound from the bullet-it wasn't necessarily fatal.
