Civil War Washington - MaddieM - 04-25-2013 08:46 AM

For anyone new to this site, like me, I found this link. I think it's great and thought I'd post it here for anyone who hasn't found it yet.

This map is outstanding. You can move the timelines to see what Washington was like at any given era.

The medical cases make very sad but interesting reading.

Some of the post mortem results indicate that those men would surely have died pretty soon afterwards if they hadn't been injured earlier. How does one get a fatty liver at 40? Drinking? The older ones were extremely unhealthy for their ages.

My brother and one sister had fatty liver issues and both are in their 50s. I'm not sure how they got it, but neither drink at all. They had to follow a special diet for a while. I'm not sure where they stand with them now.

Best
