To me, that facial pose has always been a favorite - even more so now enlarged and in color. Excuse me, but if I had been Mrs. Surratt, I would have followed those eyes anywhere...

He doesn't look quite so evil and sinister in color.
I think I like the black and white better.

I just ordered David Richardson's how-to book on colorizing black-and-white images, and spoke with him for over an hour earlier today concerning his process.

My skills with Photoshop are pretty good, and this might be a fun thing to do.

Shame on you Gene. "Sinister" not, "misguided or a day late", yes. "Messed up big time" absolutely. Remember, that few were surprised that AL was assassinated, most were surprised that it was JWB who did it!

Yes, he does. He showed me yesterday a beautiful colorization of Babe Ruth in a Red Sox uniform he was doing for a client. Please contact me through the message function here on the forum and I'll give you his address.
