I'll continue to disagree with you on those other topics until you hit me over the head with cold, hard facts to prove your theories. I'm Joe Friday in that respect. If I didn't hate emoticons, I would insert a smiley face here...

HEy I hate emoticons, too! Imagine a smiley face here and me with my white out.

What if we all believed that anybody who is in politics is a crook, a thief, a liar? Who would enter the field? Who would aspire to this? I think there are still good people striving to do good for the country. I'm not saying who, though.

There are still some good people in politics and I'm glad they are involved in politics, and I'm glad there are places like this forum, where there is intelligent discussion about political things, and facts to back up the discussion. But in general, it's so hard to try to separate the facts from the BS, and there are so many laws for this and that and everything, and so much fighting, and big egos, and special interests, etc., etc., that I personally prefer to leave it to others (who I know well and trust), for the most part, to sort through all that. I'm not saying that's the best way. When something is of special interest to me, I do in-depth research on it myself. But I don't even watch TV anymore, or the "news" and haven't for quite some time now. I quit when I realized that a good portion of the mainstream news is too biased, incomplete, and twisted to be of much value.
