Lincoln's First Pet - Gene C - 09-28-2023 07:22 AM I've read this story before, but it's been so long ago that I don't remember where I first read it. This from the Internet Archive. The Archives gives this stories source as McClure's, November 1922 I had to enlarge the print to read it. https://archive.org/details/lincolnsfirstpet00gree/mode/2up?view=theater RE: Lincoln's First Pet - RJNorton - 09-28-2023 07:57 AM (09-28-2023 07:22 AM)Gene C Wrote: I've read this story before, but it's been so long ago that I don't remember where I first read it. Gene, possibly you first read the story in Emanuel Hertz' Lincoln Talks. Hertz' source is Frederick C. Iglehart's The Speaking Oak.
