The first 2 images are know images of Lucy, the rest are dags and ambrotypes I just purchased along with childhood photos of Chandler. Does anyone think the photos could Be of Lucy? To me 2 are almost a certain match. Looking forward to what others may think. I also posted 3 photos of a very young William and a dag of his first father in law Governor Joseph Gilmore of NH. The 3rd photo looks to me like it could be the same girl as #2, only as she has gotten a little older. I wouldn't rule anything out, but I don't know enough to give you an informed opinion. What a nice find. You might run them past the New Hampshire Historical Society, which holds the Hale papers. RE: 1840-1860 Photos - AussieMick - 12-04-2021 04:51 AM Might be worth trying this : photograph the images one at a time (try the adults first).... the last one of a man for example ... then load the image on a PC and do a Google search on the image.
