Stolen wallet time capsule - Steve - 07-10-2019 01:47 AM

The demolition of a school led to the discovery of this inadvertent time capsule created by a thief stuffing stolen wallets into a vent after they swiped the cash:

What a great story. And to think that some of the owners were still alive 75 years later to have their wallets returned. It reminds me of having my wallet mailed to me in Detroit after losing it 8 years prior. I lost it at Pismo Beach in 1969. And the money was left inside-14 dollars. I was thrilled!

I'm glad to hear you got your wallet back. I lost a wallet in 2005 and haven't heard anything about it since then.Smile

I just saw on YouTube a scuba diver retrieve a fanny pack that contained some cash (don't know how much), an ID, and a credit card. The diver said he planned on returning it all. What a surprise that will be. A nice one.
