Remember Stelnick? - SSlater - 08-15-2017 01:16 AM

Did anyone ever see his book? If so, is it worth reading?

John, it's available as a Kindle edition on Amazon.

There is a short review on Amazon which includes this comment: "Could not pursue the footnotes without difficulty." I remember many years ago when parts of the book were in the Surratt Courier, and the big difficulty was trying to make sense of the footnotes.

I read his manuscript before it was ready for publication. As many problems as I had with the man himself, I do think that devoted "nuts" (and I'm one of them) to the assassination history and its varying theories should at least skim it.

It is not just the footnotes that will drive you squirrely, but also his style of writing. Some of his conjectures make you really want to believe him, but getting even close to some of his sources, much less proving them, is an impossibility to me -- at least at present, unless he left a ton of papers hidden somewhere. Efforts to get to some of his sources failed desperately for some of us over a decade ago.
