F. M. Blackwell - SSlater - 01-25-2017 11:55 PM Is there anyone who has a particular interest in F. M. Blackwell? "Francis Marion Blackwell" is the guy who was left at the Torpedo Bureau with Thomas F. Harney at the end of March 1865. I haven't found much about his war years - Yet! because he dropped out of sight and the records show "He was on detached service". I intend to write up something for the J. O. Hall Research Center. They gave me a copy of Bill Tidwell's research on him - from 20 years ago. They had nothing then. We now have his birth, and family, his wife, his 6 kids, and a list of descendants, who lived up to 1960. There are likely to be some left who can talk about him, or at least they may enjoy reading what we now have. |
