Ford's Remembering Lincoln website - Susan Higginbotham - 03-18-2015 07:12 PM Apologies if this has been linked and I missed it: http://rememberinglincoln.fords.org/ RE: Ford's Remembering Lincoln website - L Verge - 03-18-2015 07:32 PM I knew that this was in the works, but hadn't heard how far along they had come. Looks good. There is also supposed to be workshops connected with this that Surratt House has been asked to help with. Dave Taylor might be an adviser or participant in this. David, where art thou? RE: Ford's Remembering Lincoln website - Dave Taylor - 03-18-2015 08:11 PM About a year ago, I, along with Surratt House's Collection's Manager, Lindsey Horn, participated in one of the earliest focus groups for this wonderful Remembering Lincoln project. Ford's Theatre was still in the planning stages then and wanted to get an idea of what historians, teachers, and the general public would like in a project such as this. Not long after, I assisted Ford's by putting up a questionnaire on my blog regarding the proposed website (http://boothiebarn.com/2014/04/11/give-fords-theatre-your-opinion/). Since then the wonderful staff at the Ford's Theatre Society have been contacting institutions and developing this website. About a month ago I was able to preview a demo of the site and I gave them my thoughts on different things. While the website is still being added to, I believe this unveiling shows the hard work that the Ford's Theatre Society has done to create a great online resource. Be sure to explore all of the different parts it has to offer. RE: Ford's Remembering Lincoln website - asobbingfilm - 03-18-2015 08:34 PM Very well done !! Lots to explore. Thanks for posting the URL! RE: Ford's Remembering Lincoln website - Angela - 03-20-2015 01:46 AM Thank you so much for sharing this - what an amazing site! I've just read through a lot of the "first reaction" accounts from letters and diaries and am completely stunned at all the different views and thoughts of people.
