Death of Harry Jaffa - LincolnMan - 01-12-2015 07:39 AM Lincoln scholar Jadffa has passed away. RE: Death of Harry Jaffa - RJNorton - 01-12-2015 05:02 PM Bill, thank you for posting the sad news. I just read the Wikipedia article on him and learned many things I did not know including the fact that he was a speechwriter for Barry Goldwater in 1964. RE: Death of Harry Jaffa - STS Lincolnite - 01-12-2015 05:56 PM Thanks for posting Bill. I had heard Jaffa's name related to Lincoln scholarship/study but knew next to nothing about him. Like Roger I read the Wikipedia page on him. Quite interesting. RE: Death of Harry Jaffa - LincolnMan - 01-12-2015 09:03 PM I really liked that he debated with Thomas DiLorenzo. I was hoping that some of the members of the Forum are familiar with his writings. RE: Death of Harry Jaffa - LincolnToddFan - 01-13-2015 12:01 AM Bill, my knowledge of Jaffa and his writings is very superficial, but that will likely change in the coming months. He sounds like he was a very interesting man, not to mention brilliant. And just 3 years short of reaching his 100th birthday... Harry V.
