I visited the covered wagon in 2013. It had a cover then (it is uncovered in the picture from the article). If I remember correctly it is right near a Best Western hotel.

The site is also a stop on this fall's Springfield Tour when we also go to Lincoln, IL to visit the Lincoln Heritage Museum.
You don't want to miss this.
