It's also on Netflix.

Best

As a vampire movie, it was OK, especially in 3-D and on a big screen. Having Lincoln as the key to the plot, only made it less routine as far as vampire movies go. It was also more a vampire movie, than a Lincoln movie. Having seen it at the theater, that was enough for me. The special effects were more memorable than the plot.

As they were MEANT to be....I have not seen it nor do I want to....

I think there is another, Abraham Lincoln and the Zombies or some such silly thing - but it went direct to DVD --

All of the paranormal stuff is really hot now...silly in the extreme, but hot for some reason....

That's OK Betty, I couldn't get my wife to go see it with me either.

I'm going to sound really old and crotchity here, but I still have a lot to learn of real history in the next few decades. I'll concentrate on that instead of historical "fluff." Never did understand the interest in vampires and zombies. I have a hard enough time with some REAL people!

I have met you once, and you were not old or crotchty

Gene,

You hit me on a good day!!! Seriously, if you are nice to me, I'm nice to you. Friendship is a two-way street. And, I have made some wonderful friends in the Lincoln assassination field - many friendships have lasted for nearly forty years.

Come on folks- I know like me you were all watchers of the TV show Dark Shadows back in the day. Smile

This is my first EVER comment on this Vampire nonsense, but Laurie's observation hit the nail on the head. There is so much I want to know and learn, about Lincoln and other historical eras, that I have absolutely no interest in vampires and zombies. But my wife would argue that I take that attitude to the extreme. Being 50-something, the last piece of true fiction that I've read cover-to-cover was in my college years. If it's not real, I'm not interested.

I have no interest in the movie except to observe it as a cultural phenomenon-that Lincoln continues to fascinate us to the extent that he even is in such venues.

OMG - YES!!! Loved it! But I was a teenager then and would literally break my neck jumping off the school bus and racing down the street to catch that silly show at 4 PM each and every day!!

I will admit this much....that show is what gave me the beginnings of my love of the Victorian era, believe it or not!

Both Lincoln Vs. The Zombies and Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter are at Family Video.

RE: Lincoln the Vampire Hunter - LincolnMan - 01-04-2013 09:57 PM

Have you see them both John?

RE: Lincoln the Vampire Hunter - Craig Hipkins - 01-04-2013 10:31 PM

My wife bought both of these movies for me for Christmas. Pure entertainment!!!!

Yes, especially the Vampire one. Which one do you like more?
