Just happened to catch this news item:

http://keizertimes.com/2014/03/01/assassination-in-miniature/

I had an 8th grade girl make a series of miniature homes depicting architectural growth from the colonies to the Golden Age, but exterior models only -- not interior details.

How great it is. Too bad it isn't placed in a museum for the public to enjoy.

I tracked down where the paper is published because I was seriously thinking of inviting her and grandpa to bring the model to the Surratt conference in March 2015. They are literally on the other side of the country, however - Oregon. My pockets aren't that deep.

What a great project, and a great young historian. Is she aware of the symposium? I think Roger should track her down and invite her to join us.
