Sounds like something Booth would give to Spangler to help him in his escape.

This is one of numerous pistols attributed to Booth. Those of you who attended last year's conference may remember that I related accounts of a second Deringer pistol being found:
--on the stage
--behind the stage
--in a water barrel
--in the alley
--down the street
--on Booth's body

Booth was better armed than the Army of the Potomac.

The pistol in nomann's post is now the property of Ripley's Believe It or Not. Last time I checked, it was on display in their New York City museum.
