"Rollo" Diller, a druggist in Springfield. Thanks. I didn't realize "Miss Tarbucket" wrote fictional stories. Waiting on your book. So much to learn. RE: A Billy Brown Christmas Story - Rob Wick - 11-30-2013 09:31 PM Tarbell did write four Billy Brown stories, all of which were based on real events but then fictionalized. However, she didn't write this one. I did. Best Rob RE: A Billy Brown Christmas Story - Anita - 12-01-2013 12:58 AM Rob, It's a story that rings so true to Lincoln's character. Great job with the dialog. Is this based on a real event? RE: A Billy Brown Christmas Story - Rob Wick - 12-01-2013 07:56 AM Anita, not that I'm aware of, although there are aspects of it that are true. Diller did refer to Tarbell as "Tarbucket" and he was a Jackson Democrat. He also said what he did to Lincoln about his melancholy. But the parts of the boy and his father I made up. Thanks. RE: A Billy Brown Christmas Story - Rob Wick - 12-01-2013 08:33 PM Bill, It's new because I just wrote it a couple of days ago. Best Rob |
