Abraham Being sick - Ashley Norman - 08-28-2013 03:57 PM hey all I found this on youtube today and was thinking you all may find it interesting it is a piece suggesting that Abe may have been sick when he died and may have already been dying. check it out and let me know what you think. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMzFYyHXyMs Ashley RE: Abraham Being sick - L Verge - 08-28-2013 05:51 PM I did not finish watching this Nat Geo special because it is a dramatization of what Dr. Sotos has been hypothesizing for years. Reputable physicians and experts in microbiology from NIH have cast so many doubts that I, personally, tend to side with them. I think we have discussed this previously on different threads. RE: Abraham Not sick - GustavSpeed - 08-29-2013 04:28 PM There is no credible evidence that Mr. Lincoln had MEN2. The theory is based on unproven speculation from a cardiologist. His opinion has never been validated in a peer reviewed publication and appears in his self published book. In addition, now Mr. Lincoln has had: MEN2, Marfans, Mercury Poisoning, CO intoxication, &c., &c. Can't he just be a President under tremendous pressure? Please also see SYMPOSIUM ON LINCOLN'S HEALTH AT NATIONAL MUSEUM OF HEALTH AND MEDICINE (2009) Besides we are all dying as soon as we are born RE: Abraham Being sick - LincolnMan - 08-29-2013 05:53 PM Mostly he had a broken heart that the nation had split and waged war on itself, doncha think? RE: Abraham Being sick - Gene C - 08-29-2013 07:18 PM President Lincoln was very sick in March of 1865. See paragraph that begins with "Mr. Lincoln's health deteriorated in the weeks before and after his inagural in March 1865." RE: Abraham Being sick - L Verge - 08-30-2013 07:53 AM Or rest, relaxation, and victory... RE: Abraham Being sick - Eva Elisabeth - 08-30-2013 08:02 AM Possibly nowadays the diagnosis would be "burnout syndrome"... |
