Who is the father? RE: Who is this person? - Gene C - 12-07-2017 10:22 AM Are they friends of Tad and Willie? Bud and Holly Taft? The father would be Horatio Nelson Taft, who worked in the Patent Office during the Civil War RE: Who is this person? - RJNorton - 12-07-2017 10:44 AM Good thinking, Gene, but they are not Horatio Nelson Taft's sons. We often focus on actors and musicians touring the US in Lincoln's time but there were all sorts of entertainers. I was fortunate to be invited to The Magic Castle in Hollywood, a private club for magicians and magic fans. Wonderful experience. RE: Who is this person? - RJNorton - 12-07-2017 04:20 PM Hint #2: He once did a favor for Lincoln. The brief story of the favor is in numerous books. RE: Who is this person? - Gene C - 12-07-2017 05:52 PM John Roll ? RE: Who is this person? - RJNorton - 12-07-2017 05:54 PM I am sorry, Gene, but it's not John Roll. RE: Who is this person? - Thomas Kearney - 12-07-2017 06:25 PM Jack Armstrong? Sorry I haven't been on for a while. I moved to Kalamazoo, MI to complete my education at Kalamazoo Valley Community College and plan on moving back to Washington after I receive my degree. The only con about Michigan (besides the Winters) is I'm 2 hours from the nearest race track. RE: Who is this person? - RJNorton - 12-07-2017 06:28 PM I am sorry, Thomas, but it is not Jack Armstrong. |
