I agree with Dr. Houmes.
I also remember reading in '20 Days" where they had a photo of a skull that had undergone a similar gunshot wound. The skull was badly damaged, and they commented that Lincoln's head may have sustained similar damage.

Dr. Houmes, thank you so much for sharing all your thoughts and expert opinions and information. As an emergency physician I am sure you have seen too many of these wounds. Gene, that photo you mentioned fascinated my 8th graders. As I've mentioned before, Twenty Days is the only book I ever used in the classroom that ex-students came back to my classroom to see again.
