Does anyone dress in 1860's attire for the Saturday night banquet? RE: 2016 Conference - BettyO - 04-04-2016 04:30 AM Everyone just dresses in regular clothing for the conference and banquet - usually a bit more dressy for the banquet; i.e. Sunday attire.... RE: 2016 Conference - Susan Higginbotham - 04-04-2016 07:28 AM Thanks, Betty! RE: 2016 Conference - L Verge - 04-04-2016 03:15 PM It wasn't for the conference, but about 25 years ago (when we were younger), we held a banquet at the Officers' Club at Ft. McNair (Washington Arsenal during CW). The OC is right across the street from what is left of the penitentiary and trial room. About a dozen of us donned our hoops for the event. Luckily, the upstairs ballroom is huge there and could accommodate so many women in full sail.
