RE: Booth's crutch - Rsmyth - 01-05-2014 05:47 PM Yes, according to the sound clip Dave posted, Ms. Maude had the plate made at a jewelers in Richmond. I agree with Jim. I think the plate is now considered historic and adds to the value and provenance. Many of us have been fortunate enough to have known wonderful people just one step away from the Civil War era. I was thinking about these lines last night while I was talking with my wife, and we started talking about the idea of "Six degrees of separation." Then I brought up the subject of the last time I shook hands with John Lattimer, and I was wondering where his hands had been. Then she told me to change the subject. [/quote] Love it! Not to get too basic, but... Marilyn Monroe, Greta Garbo, and Herbert Hoover were patients of Dr. L, I belive. RE: Booth's crutch - BettyO - 01-05-2014 06:42 PM Dr Lattimer also told me that he also had Katheryn Hepburn as a patient. Hepburn's mother was a Powell from Alexandria, Virginia and distantly related to Lew Powell's father. |
