RE: Lincoln Photos Part 1 - Eva Elisabeth - 11-15-2013 08:08 AM Here's a nice article about the birthplace cabin: http://mobile.nytimes.com/blogs/opinionator/2013/02/12/lincolns-logs/ RE: Lincoln Photos Part 1 - Gene C - 11-15-2013 08:52 AM Does that mean the splinter I bought a few years ago is not from the log cabin Abraham Lincoln was born in? RE: Lincoln Photos Part 1 - Eva Elisabeth - 11-15-2013 04:01 PM Well, better also refrain from spending money on any original-Fido's-feeding-bowls.... RE: Lincoln Photos Part 1 - Gene C - 11-15-2013 04:16 PM Only the best for Fido http://www.crystalclassics.com/waterford/monller/158603.htm (and it's dishwasher safe) RE: Lincoln Photos Part 1 - Eva Elisabeth - 11-16-2013 07:28 AM Ever thought about an appropriate sofa, more suitable for a first dog in exile (leave the other to the Rolls)? What about this one (price only on request): [attachment=290] Apropos dish and other washing - didn't the Lincolns frame some rules for the Rolls how to care for Fido, e.g. he should always be allowed to enter the house with dirty paws? Very true, Eva. The Roll family was asked never to scold Fido for entering the house with muddy paws. He was not to be tied up alone in the backyard. Additionally, Fido was to be allowed into the Roll home whenever he scratched at the front door and into the Rolls' dining room at mealtimes. Fido was used to being given food by everyone sitting around the table. To make Fido feel at home, the Lincolns gave the Rolls their horsehair sofa. |
