They dug near Huckleberry, Bryantown Tavern, Tudor Hall, and Mrs. Quesenberry's. they are showing Mike all the things they found from around those places. RE: Digging at Huckleberry - L Verge - 08-09-2013 02:56 PM What are some of the artifacts? Anything that would pertain to our time period? I am certainly not expecting anything that can be linked to Booth. RE: Digging at Huckleberry - Dave Taylor - 08-09-2013 02:59 PM (08-09-2013 02:56 PM)L Verge Wrote: What are some of the artifacts? There are a few period pieces, and Mike is humoring their attempts to link them to Booth. RE: Digging at Huckleberry - L Verge - 08-09-2013 05:14 PM Rest my case. I remember well an amateur in the 1970s who convinced the hometown newspaper that he had found the remnants of Booth and Herold's CAMP SITE in the Zekiah Swamp - complete with a Campbell's soup can. Unfortunately, though the label was gone, modern cans have their bottoms attached completely differently than those of earlier centuries. By period pieces, do they seem qualified enough to distinguish 1830 glass and china from 1890 glass and china? Maybe they found a golden horseshoe that Thomas Jones's horse threw as the fugitives were waiting for him to come out of his house and take them to the boat??? I know - I apologize for being catty... |
