Many thanks to Bill Binzel for sharing this magnificent photo with the forum. Bill writes:

"Lisa and I arrived at Arlington Cemetery this morning around 8:30, along with 10,000+ other volunteers. By 10 a.m., a wreath had been individually laid on each of the 247,000 grave markers. It was a breathtaking sight and a moving experience that so many were willing to take a morning to honor those who sacrificed so much."

Bill and Lisa, a personal thank you.
My parents now rest at Arlington.

Your thoughtfulness is appreciated!
I wrote Bill that it is amazing how his photo captures the right angle so that the gravestones in the back of the photo appear to form Christmas garland hanging from roof tops... My grandson participated in this event years ago as a Boy Scout - a very moving experience.

We're heading to our family's private cemetery tomorrow to place wreaths on our ancestors' graves. My father was a veteran of both WWII and Korea, so I'll "tell" him about the Wreaths Across America project once again.
Amazing tribute demonstrated.
