Wow, are those dreadlocks?

I'm trying to figure out how this woman got her hair in that contortion! If those things are her hair, they are what used to be called finger curls.

She's amazing. Look at that hair. Is that the famous Rats and mice?

I have to think that those finger curls are extensions tucked up beneath what might have been called a "waterfall" in that period.

Isn't that what was called "Rats and Mice"? It's even mentioned in GWTW....

That's what Maddie thought the hairdo was called also. I must have missed that in GWTW.

Back to the question: Hint #2 - This lady was evidently good with a knife. Wonder if she concealed it in that hair?
